I actually had today off at "The Chick Market" so I thought I would go in to work at Precious Treasures. I got a lot done as I was trying to get class kits and the work room set up for tomorrow nights class. We have 2 more spots and this is a "must take" class for everyone as you will be amazed at how much you will learn. I love to show techniques and this one is FULL of them! Call the store 727-7706 or 575-1905 to sign up.
Yesterday my friends Dawn and Tawnya came up to Fremont to go shopping and we had a fun day! We went to one of my favorite stores "The Junktion" and I found this old mirrored framed shelf and I am going to use this one for the 3-d dies cuts, like bags, take out box etc. It was a great find and now it is PINK!
Zacheus went to work with me today so we got up early and I took him out to breakfast at a place called "Delicious" in Valley. It was awesome! They are so nice and have delicious food. He is getting so big! Hard to believe my baby boy will be in Junior high this fall.
As a bonus I booked the place for a crop on April 10th. I will get registration forms ready and sent out this week to all the registered people on http://www.ptdiva.com/.

If you like to hunt or hubby does, do not miss the Wild Game and Fish expo this Saturday at Westside on 151st and Dodge. I love to hunt and will have a booth there for Pheasant Haven so stop by and say hello.
Hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day. Trev has never even given me a card for Valentines day in the last 15 years and this year he went all out! He took me out to that new movie theatre downtown that you have dinner at and watch a movie. We seen the movie "Valentines Day". Then he gave me a dozen roses and a beautiful card. THEN, he surprised me with not one bird but two! I have been visiting this pink bird for months as it was at the pet store just a couple blocks down from the store and of course I liked it as it was pink. Well Trev got word that I liked the pink bird from a little bird (Liz )and bought the pink one and her room mate. They are at the store for you all to come visit. We named them "Pinky" and "The brain" from cartoons. hee hee :) One is a Rosy Bourke and the other is a Rainbow Bourke. They come from australia. VERY pretty!

I took a quilt class last night at Create and all that I can say is "UH OH!" Quilting is just as addictive as scrapbooking. I went as many of our customers are starting to sew on Diva nights as we welcome any craft you want to work on. I put together all the blocks to make a crib quilt and next class we sew them together already. It goes very fast and there are as many different fabrics as there are scrapbook paper. hmmmm... now which room in the house can I take over for quilting??? LOL
I went to the quilt store in Fremont today called Country Traditions and they are offering a 5-week intense beginners class. It is from 6-9:30 on Thursdays and starts March 11th. The 5-week session is only $59.99. I am going to take the class also as I want to get the basics down as my next project is a king quilt for my bed. So come join me. Country Traditions number is 402-721-7752 or go to countrytraditionsonline.com to sign up.

I volunteered again yesterday at Lutheran Family Services for the moms there to scrapbook. They need donations of:
- baby papers and embellishments
- cardstock/mat stacks
You all have been awesome supporters of the moms there and I cannot thank you enough. The moms there are thrilled to get to scrapbook. I would take photo's but I am not allowed due to privacy issues. If you would like to volunteer it is the 2nd monday of each month and there is a morning and an evening session. email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have donations or would like to volunteer.

Alotta Brownies is growing and moved from Arlington to Fremont and just a few doors down from me. (This is not helping my diet) LOL They are unbelievable brownies. YUM! I also tried the honey wheat bread and it is delicious. Stop by and check them out and let me know what you think. You will love the decor!
I am really going to miss Kaela but understand. The kids have no medical insurance and they need benefits. She found a full time job that is offering benefits so she needs to take it. She is the best daughter in law anyone could ask for :) Maybe she will be back when Paul gets benefits,
A note from Lance (the rubber chicken haning in our store came from him)
This past year has been incredibly tough on Rusty Pickle due to the economic situation. We feel that we can no longer survive as a company; consequently we have decided to close Rusty Pickle. We would like to thank all our customers who have supported Rusty Pickle for the last 7 years.
Come join us in celebrating the Grand Opening of Precious Treasures! The ribbon cutting is from 9-10am. The mayor will be here to do our formal ribbon cutting. Coffee and donuts will be provided. (thought that would get ya!)
Stop in from 10-5 for our open house. There will be specials throughout the store as well as snacks and our famous wine-a-rittas or punch. There is a craft and crop to follow from 6-11 pm.

I started my spring diet yesterday to shed the winter coat. I always just do 1000 calories and it usually goes off pretty quick. After my full hystorectomy it got harder. So if you want some support on your diet or want to give me some on mine email me firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thought I would give you somethng to laugh about this morning. I LOVE space mountain and only got to ride it three times the day we were there as there were long lines. But this photo should crack you up.....I refuse to grow up. hahahahaahaha
If you know me you know I LOVE store windows. I go to Chicago a lot just to look at the amazing windows. Well I about hyperventilated when I see there was a store window display class at CHA and taught by one of my favorite designers Anna Griffin. Stay tuned as I am going to try to put what I learned in class into play. I would show you pictures of what we did in class but I want to surprise you with seeing it in the window. We did three different window displays in class and she gave us about 5 foot long boxes to ship them home in. LOL
