***Precious Treasures Fremont Camp Fontanelle Crafting Weekend ***

Registration is open for the spring and fall Fremont Camp Fontanelle Crafting Weekends. Dates for the 2018 Fontanelle Crafting weekend  will be April 6,7,8 and October 5,6,7.   The cost for the crop will be $70.   Which includes your own table space, lodging, dinner friday, lunch and dinner on saturday and brunch on sunday.   There is wifi. 

*****Change:  You will NOT be counted as going until your check is received and there are no refunds.   We keep this crop to the very minimum to keep it a small crop as we all like our own table.  If you cannot go we do try to find someone to go in your place and they pay you back.   It all works out in the end. 🙂 

We will do the bon fire again and s'mores.  And I will try to come up with new surprises.  We do a craft garage sale and gift exchange.

MY NEW GRANDSON

How time flies.   We were at the Elkhorn store when I had the twins and now they are both in college and one of them is getting married.   Elizabeth is married and living in Lincoln and Paul just had his first child.    My first grandchild lil' Rhett was born September 10 and such a joy!   We have not had a baby in the extended family since the twins.   He was a couple weeks early but still weighed 8 ounds 2 ounces.  I think he would have been a 10 pounder if he went full term.   He takes after his daddy.

Price is $45.  3 FULL days of cropping.  If we get 20 people the cost will go down to $40.   We try to keep this group small.  This includes lodging for the 2 nights and table space.  We do divide up the food on the Precious Treasures Events and Classes page when it gets closer to the date so please join that ASAP.  

There are no refunds 30 days before the crop.  But the camp will send you a receipt which you can write of on taxes for donation.    You can have someone else take your spot

NEW LOCATION

Well the location on 6th Street was full of toxic mold and huge water problems and the landlord would do nothing about it so we finally found a wonderful location just a couple doors down from our other store on Main Street.     419 N Main St.    It is our best store yet out of our 5 locations!   I cannot wait for you all to see it.   Be tuned in to our facebook for lots of live videos on the progress and new features of the store.  Also sign up for our newsletter at www.precioustrasures.net

It was originally a Theater so we are going to try to stick with that theme in decorating and have added photos of the original theater around the inside of the store for you to see what it originally looked like.  It is an amazing building.

I LOVE the app groovebook.   I have used it for several years.      I have shared it with my friends and store customers so many times. (I get NOTHING for sharing, just love the app) I put it on my kids phones when they get a lot of photos built up also so I can get  the photos they take.   You can sign up and quit at any time.    You can also have more than one account but on different devices if you are like me and take tons of photos.  Just use a different email address.  

It is an app that you will get to print off 100 photos off your phone or notebook every month for free and shipping is $2.99.  Try using code holman1 or holman 2 for your first free.  (If it does not work PM me and I will grab a coupon code from a different book)   I hope they still take them as they have made a lot of changes but if they do not it is only $2.99. 

The photos are perforated.  You can send extra books to family members right from the app for the same price.   This is a brand new feature.  Another new feature is they now let you reorder past books.    You can order multiple books in a month if you have a lot of photos.  But always know on your monthly 'pull' date they are going to pull whatever you have uploaded and if nothing is uploaded they send you the month before book.  But trust me they send LOTS of reminders in email to get your photos uploaded if you have not done it.  It is a great company. 

 These are things I used groovebook for: 

*I screen shot recipes and do whole books of recipes or just mix them with my photos and pull them out and put the 4x6 photos in my recipe box. 

*If you scrapbook or make cards I screen shot sketches and make whole books of sketches.   I do the same with page ideas.

*Holiday ideas  I make my own holiday idea books.  I like just to flip through them and not have to be on Pinterest as I find scrolling through pinterest makes me drowsy and why I do it before I go to bed.  LOL. 

*Gifts. People love getting groovebooks in the mail

STORE HAS MOVED

Well after a lot of hard work we got the store moved.   Now the unpacking begins.    We did take a week off and will be starting the unpacking this week and will be posting lots of phots so stay tuned.

Well after the move We wanted to take a week off and try to heal up.   Zac and I both hurt our back and Donavon hurt his knee and has been off work for almost a month now waiting for surgery (gotta love the military insurance).  Ruth and Gabe were the only ones that did not get hurt.  Well......

New Years Eve Ruth was not feeling well and doubled over in pain.  And Sunday morning I was running her to Omaha to the ER at Lakeside.   They did a CT scan and said she had appendicitis and a large ovarian cyst.  They were going to do surgery there but I wanted surgery done at Childrens as that is where my kids have always been treated.  So she got an ambulance ride to Childrens.  

After the doctors at Childrens reviewed the CT scan they were not convinced it was appendicitis and said her appendix was behind her colon.    They did see the large cyst on the ovary.     So we played the waiting game.  After about 48 hours they let her go home with just pain medicine and she will have to be seen by her ob/gyn for the cyst.  God was really watching out for us as she would have had an unneeded surgery if I had not insisted on going to Childrens.

So it was an interesting few days.   The rest of the week I worked on the house, laundry,  Donavon took the kids all skiing for being so much help

By safe I mean these have not been out on the floor for anyone to copy the numbers and wait for them to be activated.  You can go on ebay or Amazon and buy those silver stickers that cover the pin number on the roll.   So crooks scratch them off take a photo with their phone, put the sticker back over the pin and you never know.  They show that people take them to the bathroom to a lot to do this.     It is NOT safe to buy them off the racks.      I would be so embarrassed to give one as a gift and it was empty and you have no recourse as gift cards are not refundable.

  Ours are preloaded for certain amounts.    We do not make money on these, just doing it as a free service to our customers.   Supplies are limited to ones we have on hand and we can order others upon request.   BE SAFE!!!

ELINOR PEACE BAILEY VISITS PRECIOUS TREASURES IN FREMONT NEBRASKA

We had special guest Elinor Peace Bailey at Precious Treasures today.     Loved having her. She is such an inspiration and she got lots of goodies to take back to Washington with her.

GIVING BLOOD FOR THE FIRST TIME.

        I am giving blood for the first time today.   Zach Stewart has done it several times and has been encouraging me to do it.  I an VERY proud of  him.      Hope they can take my blood with all the meds I am on. 

        I am not afraid of needles, after more than a dozen surgeries blood does not bother me and I have had my share of blood given to me so Zach is right I should give back.    Hopefully they can take my blood as I will do it regularly if they can and I do not pass out.  Hee Hee. :)

 One month before the crop we will have a facebook group set up with the food list and you sign up for what you want to bring as we divide up all the meals.   There is a kitchen there and fridge.  We have done this crop for years and it is always the best food ever as people bring some of the most amazing recipes.    If you are not on facebook I will call you and get what you are bringing and add to the list. 

The fall one is so much fun as Trent gives us free hay rack rides.  There is also a pumpkin patch, corn maze, bon-fires and much more if you want to take advantage of any of that or have your family out one of the nights you are there or the Sunday night you come home

We did a 24 hour ice test on them and they kep ice equally as cold as the Yeti brand cups and cost less!   They are only $29.95.     They are a big 30 ounch with a lid.    If you want to fool people you can replace the lid that comes with them with a lid from Yeti as they are only $4.99 from thei website (that is what I did as I HAD to have a Husker one).
