SIGN

A DAY OFF

My sister came to stay with me last night and I got up this morning and Ruthy had the worst tooth ache and we just went to our dentist without and appointment and by 9:30 the tooth was pulled. It was a permanent tooth so she had to rest today. So I did not go to Fremont. We all went to a movie and got pedicures and then came back to the condo and took a nap. It was MUCH needed.

OUCH!

Introduced my sister to happy hour at the Melting Pot

Pedicures felt soooooo.... goooooood.

These flowers were in the pots at Village Point. The yellow ones had purple middles and were so pretty. I have never seen ones like that. I found out the planter on the street at the new store is mine to fill which excited me and I am going to get up early tomorrow and hit Lanoha for some ideas.

NEW STORE IS A CHALLENGE

With the brick walls we do not have all the slat wall that we have had in the last two stores. It is a challenge to display products. It has made me get very creative! :) We got a lot done today and can even see a TINY bit of floor in the crop room. The bathroom is pretty much done except for caulking and they have to come install the new light fixture. We have had many customers just show up to help which has been such a blessing as we are getting very tired. :)

Do not forget to get your heartland hop passports and keychains now. Email amy@ptdiva.com to order yours. It is 8.99 for the passport and keychain. www.heartlandhop.com

A FUNNY FOR THE NEW STORE

MarLena and I took a break yesterday aftrnoon and walked over to the Junktion indoor flea market. (It is only 2 blocks away, uh oh) LOL.

What a find! I have been looking for runks etc for storage above the big cabinets and I found this box an it says "Chocolates and BonBons" . Perfect for the Diva's. I also found this chandelier and a brownie camera. We laughed so hard as MarLena and I carried it back to the store and we took a break at the corner. We were Diva's running away and just took the chocolate and a chandelier. hee hee

Yesterday at the store we finally started getting product out of boxes. Zach worked on putting in new bathroom floor which looks awesome.

SUNDAYS PICTURES

I took a break today and went to the Taste of Omaha and took the twins to the Circus. After I headed back to the store and today we got some shelves hung and some of the awesome signs around the store hung. My friend Jana from the Chick Market did all the signage and she does an awesome job if you ever want words on your walls etc. And if you have not been to Chick Market it is a MUST! It is on 180th Pacific.

This is the BACk of the store. We have a spot that is covered you drive right up and unload your scrapbook stuff and then go park in the secured covered parking garage right behind the store. LOVE IT!

We found Zesto's in Fremont and the twins were thrilled!

I got home and my stamp pad rack came I bought off ebay and I love it! Now to fill all those holes with reinkers.

MORE SNEAK PEEKS AND ITEMS WANTED

I am on the hunt for chndeliers. We need about 20 more. So if you have one in the garage or basement email amy@ptdiva.com and I will buy them from you. It does not matter the color or condition as I am painting them all black.

I am also looking for LOTS of scrapbook stickers of any kind to do a treatment on the floor. So do not throw out thos half used sticker sheets. If you want to put your name on one of the stickers with a sharpie you will be a permanent part of the store.

I found this old picture of downtown fremont on ebay!
The chandelier was over 100 years old and a Craigslist find. My awesome dad rewired all the chandeliers to make them safe for his favorite daughter. (don't tell my sister) LOL
This was a big brass chandelier a lady at a garage sale GAVE me. She was excited it was going to be used in our store and is going to come visit it. It was brass before.

This is a display above one of the cabinets. Lamp, Camera and a vintage scrapbook.

MORE PEEKS AT THE NEW STORE

Today was the first day working in the new store and we got a lot done. Hannah and Zach worked with me all day today and left at 5:30 to go to a movie which they so deserved a break as they have worked so hard and done an awesome job!
Hannah, Zach and I painted all day. One of the arches is done except for the lettering

You all have went crazy with the dry erase board I put in the Gretna bathroom. Well now you have a whole chalkboard wall to play on. LOL

Zach and Hannah got the kids area put together today.

This is the BACK of the store.
You pull up, unload your scrapbook stuff and then you can park in the covered parking which is in the back of our building. There is also security on crop nights. :) I am on the waiting list for the apartment above the shop which will be awesome to just have to walk downstairs to work.
(dont you think that awning needs to be pink or zebra print???) ;)

Parking Garage.

I so need a mani/pedi! hee hee

SNEAK PEEK AT NEW STORE

MarLena, Hannah and I rode up yesterday to Fremont with one of the loads and while the guys unloaded we started unwrapping paper racks to see how they were going to hit and it worked perfectly. We even talked a couple of the guys to hang one of the chandeliers just to see how they were going to look. I cannot wait for you all to see the store and work room.

ALL MOVED OUT

We laughed as these two feathers were on the floor.
Liz's graffiti (it did get covered up with paint)

Beautiful faux finish wall (hated to leave it as it came out awesome)

This was our check out counter which will be at the new store coming to the Elkhorn/Gretna area calle "Create".

Hannah and Zach moving. I actually hired Zach as he is a good worker so you will see him also at the Fremont store along with Hannah. Lindsay will also be back from Australia soon and working again. Toyja is from Gretna and Holly is from Bellevue and believe it or not they want to commute to Fremont and keep working at the store. They are all such blessings and I am soooo... thankful for them. Everyone has been ooohing and aaahin over the new store and we cannot wait to go set it up.

THANK YOU

Thank you to everyone who helped today and shopped today. We have a lot less to move now. It has been hard to go but we are looking forward to the new store. We caught the management company changing two pages of our lease after we signed as they have been trying to make us pay higher cam charges which we did not sign our lease for. So since I disputed it and stated we did not have a valid lease since they changed it after we signed it, they found we were leaving at the end of June so to be mean about it they gave me a three day notice. My attorney has been working on this and said they could do that.

I kept waking up last night wondering if it was a bad dream as you know how full our store is. LOL Well God was watching out for me and we had 14 people help today and even a homeless man stopped by and asked if he could help. He stayed for a few hours and I fed him and gave home fifty dollars. He was so happy he was going to sleep by the Flying J and come back tomorrow to help. :)

Thank You to everyone who helped today! You are all such blessings. *HUGS*
