BRIX, NEW WINE AND SPIRIT STORE IN OMAHA

New Store review: The new Brix store is open at Village Point in Omaha. (168 dodge) Brix is a wine and spirit store. It is very large with a big selection. Service in wine area was very poor as I was in there for probably a half hour and they were not busy but no help. So I did not buy any wine. The beer area person working was wonderful! I love dark, beers, the darker the better and you can buy 6 packs but pick out 6 different bottles. I got 12 new ones to try. He was a lot of help as there must be over 1000 different beers. They also have cheeses, breads, and a wine tasting area. Let me know what you think of the store.

KAELA'S GRANDPA

Late last night Kaela's grandpa was in a car accident and they life flighted him to Creighton. He has neck injuries and a brain bleed. We all know what God can do so please pray. Kaela is very close to her grandpa. pray, pray, pray.

I went to see the movie "Up in the Air" tonight. It was really good. It was the movie that had a lot of parts filmed in Omaha. For once they did not portray Omaha as a bunch of cornfields. LOL

BAD DREAMS ABOUT LOSING YOUR KIDS...

Am I the only one who has bad dreams about losing my kids? I had the worst dream last night that I dropped Zacheus off for football practice and went to pick him up and he was not there. I woke up crying and had to go peek in his room to make sure he was still there. :( I guess my biggest fear is always losing one of my kids, maybe that is why I have the bad dreams?

MY APRON FOR CHA

I LOVE the apron Teresa made me for CHA!!! It has a pocket for business cards and a pen which will be so handy! Teresa teaches the sewing classes at our store and does an awesome job!!!! She restyles clothes and is so creative. I cannot wait to see the apron in person as she just sent this picture of it yesterday. RUTHS ROOM

Ruths room had wallpaper that was so STUCK! It brought the drywall off with it and I even went and got a professional steamer. We had lots of patching and sanding we got it painted, put in all new woodwork and new bamboo laminate flooring. She is so happy that we cannot get her to come out of her room. I really like the laminate flooring especially as we are trying to house break Lacey and the girls like it to dance on. I have to paint her window trim and hang pictures and off to the next room. I will take more photos when I get it all complete.

Canvas circles I bought at Michaels, I apray painted them and then added vinyl letters to them. Take Veronica's vinyl class to learn to make the vinyl lettering for your home.

I love the handmade curtain!

Zacheus was a HUGE help! He is turning into quite the little man.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Sorry for not posting, I have been very, very busy. I have been trying to get Ruhs room done as her furniture has been down on the main floor while her rooms being done. I needed he furniture moved for the New Years Party. All the wallpaper in Ruths room is stripped, she has new flooring, new woodwork, new paint and she is a happy little girl. Now just working on the decorating. I will post some pictures of it.

I always have a big New Years party and let the kids invite over whoever they want and let them all stay all night as I always like everyone home and safe on New Years Eve. The kids had a lo of fun and as always there was a ton of food. I always cook for an army. I dream of someday having a scrapbooking bed and breakfast just so I can cook for other people. :)

I booked my trip to CHA this morning. I did not get into Tim's class and so bummed but they sell out in the first few minutes and I was no sure if I was going to be able to go or not. I am hoping he will teach me what he taught in class during the show as he KNOWS I am a faithful Tim follower. LOL But I am going. YIPEE!!!! I am taking 4 days of classes and seminars and excited to bring back more new techniques to share with you.

Well, off to shower and start on cooking pork chops, mashed potato's and green beans for our postponed Christmas with grandma and grandpa. I hope you all are having a wonderful day and have a blessed New Year.

My new years resolution is to blog more and facebook less. I think because last year going through the divorce the year was so hard it was hard to stay positive, 2010 will be a GREAT year!
