EYE-FI REVIEW

I got any Eye-Fi card for Christmas. It is an SD card that you put in your digital camera and then there is a tiny device you plug into your USB port on your computer. You can use this device to download from non wi-fi cards also. As soon as you take a photo it is automatically downloaded to your computer to the folder you have set up. If your home computer is online and you are in a place with wi-fi it will still download over any wireless connection that you can connect to. Your camera has to be powered on the whole time it is downloading. If you do not download wirelessly it works like a regular SD card.

My review: 5 STAR! It works just like it states. Only complaint I had at all was it is slow in downloading and Christmas day their service got overloaded and it was hit and miss that day on downloads. Overall it is well worth the money for the convenience.

Cost is about $80.00. I am sure the price will keep dropping as I wanted one last year and they were way to expensive and they have dropped considerably in price since last year.

If You Bought a Cricut Expressions Recenty, Read This!

Hi, Veronica here. A few former students of mine brought this to my attention... if you purchased a Cricut Expressions machine between Oct. 15 and Dec. 15 (that includes the day after Thanksgiving) then you are eligible to receive 2 cricut cartridges free* -- you just have to pay $7.95 for shipping and handling. But you must hurry, because this offer is only available if you send in your receipt and it is postmarked by Jan. 15.
The 2 cartridges are Printing 101 and My Community, both of which are pretty cool, especially if you have kids and are doing school books.
The Cricut.com website has all the details. Just go to the homepage -- but wait a minute, because the offer may not flash up right away.
You are welcome for the tip. Letting me play with your free* My Community cartridge would be thanks enough! :) ~ Veronica

SUNDAY CHRISTMAS AT TREVORS MOMS

Heading to Grand Island to Trevors moms.
The boys had a blast playing out in the fields.

Dagen would bob his head listening to the ipod.

Dagen is such a hoot. He had Liz's ipod using it as a camera. I know what I am getting all the neices and nephews next year, a camera.

I think Kaela has become Pauls pillow. He was sound asleep. (Until Liz found some ice) hee hee

It seems so weird to be December and it was so nice out. The snow was perfect for snowballs. They got a lot more snow in Grand Island than we got here.

My niece Kasey with Daisy

My nephew Dagen just cracks me up. He kept saying mmmm.... as he was eating his chocolate pie and had a fork in one hand and a spoon in the other.

Liz had fun eating!

The kids had fun opening gifts.

A NEW GARMIN GPS FOR CHRISTMAS

My parents bought me a PINK Garmin GPS for Christmas. I had to laugh as look at the sticker that is on the front of it. It is CHICAGO! I absolutely love Chicago and I was teasing saying I better just leave the sticker on it as it will always be telling me to go there. hee hee

SATURDAY CHRISTMAS AT MY PARENTS

I love spreading out Christmas as we get to spend more time with each family instead of just popping in for a small amount of time at each place. I loved this Christmas as we got to stay home and spend some time with our own family and later in the day got to go visit my aunt in Iowa who is not doing very well. It was a nice day. Saturday we went to my parents house in Fremont and had a wonderful dinner and watched movies. It was a lot of fun. The kids all got ipods fro grandma and grandpa so it was very quiet. :)

A Sugar Daddy for my Sugar Daddy!
I love cardinals as they always remind me of my grandma who I miss so much!

Ruth is such a goof!

Of couse Trevor would get a HUSKER blanket. I think he is their number one fan!

Liz's nickname fro grandpa was monkey so of course she got a monkey blanket

Zach loved his new ipod

My sister Trudy

My brother in law Mike looking at the scrapbook I made for them of their cruise. Check out his cool new hat! hee hee

CROP TONIGHT CANCELLED

Well I finally went in to see the doctor after my fall on the ice at Tuesday nights crop and sure enough my clavicle was broken. Poor Liz had to work by herself today and it was non-stop customers from the time we opened. So she was too tired tonight to hold the crop for me. Sorry but we cancelled crop tonight as I am just in too much pain from them moving the bones around. If you were signed up you will get a free crop next week.

We wish you all a wonderful and blessed Christmas. We had midnight church service last night and of course the twins were up bright and early this morning. The kids will have fun playing the rest of the day. We are going over to see my aunt later as this will most likely be her last Christmas and she is one of my favorite relatives whom I admire so much. THE DIVA CROP ROOM TURNED INTO SANTA WORKSHOP

We had a crop Tuesday night at the store and it looked like Santa's workshop from wrapping presents, to making cards to scrapbooking and even one person was making a vase for flowers. It was a lot of fun and I think we will have to make this a tradition! I wiped out on the ice which was not cool as my shoulder swollen and I am in lots of pain and I think I may have broke something. I will be at the doctor as soon as they open on Friday. What a bummer. Falls hurt a lot more at my age.

One of the elfs (Veronica) brought me the most wonderful Christmas gift which I just love!!! It is called a Miche Bag and the whole outside comes off and you can buy different covers for it so you do not have to change your whole purse just the outside to match your outfits. I think pink will do me for most of my outfits. LOL

PAGEANT IS OVER

Well last nights show was the last pageant performance. Stay tuned for the sequel at Easter. hee hee I was animal coordinator this year and we had sheep, goats, camels and chickens. It was more exciting this year as one of the sheep was pregnant and you could feel the babies inside of her move and kick. Also one of our camels was due any time. We had a great group of animal handlers this year also and a huge thanks to each and every one of them.

There were a lot of people who came to know Christ from the pageant and that is the goal. Our family is involved every year and it is a big undertaking as life stops for several weeks as there are two weeks of productions and Saturdays and Sundays there are 2 shows each day. If even one person comes to know Christ it makes it all worth it.

It was wonderful to see so many of our customers, friends and family there. (Thank You) Now it is time to decorate for Christmas, wrap presents, shop, ship packages, do Christmas Cards, clean the house and bake! I am looking forward to the crop tomorrow night to finish up a lot of last minute Christmas things. Hope to see you there!

We had camels, sheep, chickens and goats.

SCRAPPIN STUDIO

I was notified that the Scrappin Studio at the Gretna Outlet Mall has a new owner. The mall owner stated that it will stay a crop room only with no retail sales except the new owner was allowed to sell Cricut machines. Precious Treasures will continue to sell cartridges as we have the largest selection in the area but since they will sell the machines we feel it courteous to not compete and will no longer carry the machines in the store when the stock on hand has sold out.

We have had hundreds of emails since it was announced asking if we are still going to be holding our crops and rentals in our Diva Crop Room and the answer is yes and there will be no changes at this time. We will see how things go with the new owner before we make any changes. All rentals for 2009 at Precious Treasures will still stay the same and night time crops are listed on http://www.ptdiva.com/. We also have some wonderful surprises in store for you in 2009, stay tuned!

ZACHEUS' CHRISTMAS PRESENT (pics) CHICAGO

I took Zacheus to Chicago as that was his Christmas gift. He had so much fun and he said it was the best Christmas present ever. It will be a trip he will remember the rest of his life. Below is a some of the pictures from the trip. I just downloaded them all and there were 594 pictures and that is after I deleted he bad ones. No wonder I am so far behind on my scrapbooks LOL
CHICAGO THROUGH ZACHEUS' EYES
The bakeries are amazing in China Town. They decorate cakes with fresh fruit.

LOTS of snow!

This was probably a once in a lifetime sight. We seen a chinese funeral which if you look below past the guy in the coat there was a group of musiciams playing oriental music. There were carts of flowers and so many people. I was afraid to take pictures as I did not want to offend anyone but it is something we will remember all of our lives.

Zacheus with his Gravitron toy.

I looked over and Zacheus had all these fruit roll up stars stuck all over his face. I asked him what he was doing and he said they were fruit roll up stickers and he was suppose to stick them to himself. He is ALL BOY!!!

We are home and Zach said it was the best Christmas ever. He also said I was the best mom in the world. I love to show my kids new things and new places. I grew up in the city and do not want them to live a sheltered life in Nebraska. I remember when I moved here I thought it was like a ghost town. Where were all the people? It is a lot safer here though as in the city you never would look at someone walking down the street and say hi. In the city you do not want to make eye contact when passing on the streets. You never wear jewelry etc. There are just so many differences but I think kids need to learn so if they move to the city or go to college in the city they know how to stay safe. Chicago is my favorite place in the world as I love Lake Michigan as you cannot see across it so it reminds me of the ocean. If I hit the lottery I will be blogging from my penthouse appartment in Chicago!
