She is so artistic!!! We also picked out some things for her sons "giraffe" themed birthday. I hope she sends pictures of it also. :)

I do not care how they look as I spray paint them, glass and all. It will be so easy do find die cuts with them sorted into themes as we have over 1200 now.

Using all my vintage record cake stands. Found these awesome silver paper doilies at Kohlmeyers across the street from the store.

If you are one of the first 200 people in the store you will get a rose with a treat inside.

FAIRIES

I cannot believe all the people that have come in wanting everything to make the fairies. I had to go out and get the wood sticks and hunt for vintage spools down at antique shops and online. We have everything you need. She is my favorite
Check out the bingo queen one I made.

I found another dome and also a source to buy the big ones from but they are around $40.00!
If you find them anywhere let me know.

TOO FUNNY

I was so excited when Vic told me that my fairies got put on the Crafty Secrets website. But when I went to look I cringed as it was the photo of when I was working on them and it just cracked me up. As you see my paint brushes and supplies along with the JUMBO bottle of ibuprofin. I guess those are the things I cannot live without when crafting. hahahahaha :)

TODAYS PROJECTS

Needless to say with today's wonderful weather we were so slow today. I worked on my quilting homework but was having a very ADD day and had to create. So I made these three plate stands. After that I thought I would buzz over to the Junktion indoor flea market which is a block from our store (dangerous for me) But to my disappointment they closed early due to the weather. What to do, what to do..... So I went to the Dime Store Days antique store and found a lot of goodies. A huge pile of old 78 records, a cute cabinet which I will show you tomorrow and I found some old wooden blocks and spelled "flowers and Spring". I glued them together and there is even a cute bee block on one. They will be at the Chick Market on Sunday and I work noon to 4 so stop by. It is on 180 center in Omaha.

TIP / IDEA graduation announcement

Karen made this out of different magazine clippings and then copied them for the graduation announcements. What a creative idea!

NEW SPRING PURSE

I had to share this, is the cutest purse or what??? I love it and they are seeing if they can order one in pink. LOL

IDEA / TIP Another wood book (basketball)

I used the textured basketball paper for the front of this book. This is one of the just released books and great for all sports. It was a fun one to make. Stop by and get yours at Precious Treasures in Fremont, we are your scrapbook store just minutes from Omaha Nebraska.

RECORD BOWLS AT HARBOR FARM CHICK MARKET ON 180 PACIFIC

I found some awesome records this time for my record bowls. There is bands like Bruce Springstein, REO Speedwagon, Rolling Stones, Shaun Cassidy, Foreigner, Van Halen and more. Stop by the Chick Market soon for the best selection. It is on 180th and Pacific in Omaha.

TIP / IDEA Alcohol Inks and pigment ink and Caroline spray

I LOVE alcohol inks. I found this lunch box tin at the Goodwill and knew it was the proper size for my stickles but it was so plain.....

Alcohol Inks to the rescue! I inked the whole can and then used silver pigment ink mixed with a little blending solution and stamped the can. Using the blending solution with the pigment gives it a blended color look. I finished it off with a coat of Caroline Spray and it seals it and is totally acid free. You can see the can in the "Ranger" section of the store.

That is a stamp of Tim Holtz! LOL

WE WORKED ON MORE MONSTER BOOK SAMPLES TONIGHT

Amy and I worked on making more samples for her Monster Creations books and kits. I LOVE the books and have so much fun making them. I used Melissa Francis, Jenni Bowlin and a Jolee.
I need to add one more book ring and I think I am changing the wording on the front to "Soul Mates". I love all the Melissa Francis Francis and embellishments!!!

CHECK OUT THIS POST ABOUT THE STORE

MONSTER CREATIONS WOOD BOOKS AND PROJECTS

Come see our huge display of Monster Creations wood books and projects. If you like Kaiser Craft projects you will LOVE these. They are larger and also have an acrylic sheet included for a cover and low prices. Best yet, they are made in OMAHA! A friend of mine makes them and they are awesome and I would rather support local companies. We have samples made up of the books also for you to look at or gather three friends and we can teach a class on any of the kits.

My mom even made a display for the store and did an awesome job.
She Scrapbooked when I was a baby. She is the queen. :)
I still am not happy with the way I have things hung but i is coming together.
I may have to pick Vicki's brain for ideas. :)

Vicki made this beautiful wedding dress made out of all paper. Stop by the store to see it as the pictures do not do it justice.

FAVORITE THINGS

My friend Vicki did these fairies a loooong time ago and I have never quit thinking about them. Well Crafty secrets just came out with a altered fairy kit and I found a glass done at the "Corner Nook" and got time today to make them!

Above are Vicki's Fairies. She used real photographs on some of them.

Above is my version of the fairies. I need to find a cake stand yet. As soon as I can find more wooden spools I will take some over to the Chick Market.

I HAD THE MOST WONDERFUL DAY!

I dedicated a section of the store to the brand "Crafty Secrets". Well my friend Vicki designs for them so I asked her if if she could make some samples for that section of the store. Well low and behold she showed up with the whole crew today and had tons of Craft Secrets Supplies for everyone to make displays and also the most awesome cheese dip and delicious brownies. I have the most AWESOME friends ever!
