A GREAT FIND!

I found the coolest chandelier for the Diva Room! It was wicker hats and I repainted them shades of pink. The gals on facebook said they need polka dots on them so I will work on that. I cannot wait to see it hung! Want one? Check www.lampa.com They have floor lamps too.

CRICUT TIME!

Hello! This is Veronica Rosman, one of the instructors here at Precious Treasures Scrapbook Boutique in Fremont, Nebraska. I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be teaching several levels of Cricut classes at the store coming up in the next few weeks. Here is the schedule:

Thursday, Sept. 24 -- Advanced Cricut, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. That's Tonight!
My only night class this month! This is the class for all you who have cut hundreds of letters, and maybe a few shapes, and want to learn more so you can get your money worth out of the machine. Cost is $20, includes supplies. Bring your machine and a mat. I will teach you:
--Learn how to use scrap paper effectively
--Practice making titles
--Learn how to make cards and envelopes on the Cricut machine
--Learn and practice more detailed layering techniques using cartridges including Paper Dolls and the Disney carts.
--Experiment with alternative materials on the Cricut machine, such as chipboard and vinyl.
--Try out accessories such as the Cricut markers
--Explore shading techniques to make images seem more real.

Saturday, Oct. 3 -- Cricut Cardmakers, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Come learn how to use your Cricut machine, and its amazing functions, to make cards for many occasions, including the upcoming holidays. We will explore the Wild Card cartridge, so if this one has you stumped then you need to be here. Cost is $20, includes all supplies.

Saturday, Oct. 3 -- Cricut Club, 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Calling all Cricut owners! Come join other Cricuteers to share ideas, show off your work and try out cartridges you’ve seen but weren’t sure you wanted to buy. Bring your machine, your mat, your three favorite cartridges and a list of cartridges that you've always wanted to try but weren't ready to buy. Also, I will highlight one cartridge each month -- this month it is Paper Doll Dress Up -- don't judge this one by the box, come find out useful this cartridge is! We will do a quick make-n-take, too. Registration not required. Cost is $5, which covers supplies and prizes!

To register for the classes, please call the store and sign up. If you have any questions, please email me at Veronica@ptdiva.com. You can see pictures of my work at http://www.iteachscraps.blogspot.com/.

Have a great week! ~ Veronica Rosman

I have been trying to find more ways to make things easier to find a the store and clearning the racks where the stairs are going to go. We are opening up the basement for another 2500 square feet of space and I can't wait!!!

PLAYING CATCH UP

My Internet has been down at home for over a week now and finally COX is suppose to come tomorrow night to fix it. If you have been emailing us it also has been bouncing so please retry after Thursday. It has been such a pain and I have called them every day just t0 get the run around after I finally get to a real person. LOL (doesn't that irritate you?)

We have been so busy at the store putting away all the new stuff that is coming in daily from CHA and having so many classes going on at the store that it is always a hopping, fun place. We love the new location and the coziness of it.

LIZ: (my daughter) has been doing kids birthday parties every weekend at the store which has kept her very busy. She does such a great job.

PAUL AND KAELA: Paul is now a Waterloo firefighter and I cannot wait to get photo's of him in his uniform to scrapbook. LOL The kids are moved into the basement of my house now and I lost my crop room and have to work on turning another one into a crop room. I have not gotten moved back to Elkhorn yet but should be by October. Kaela (my new daughter in law)has been helping me out at the store and does a wonderful job. She is such a sweetheart. We have been working hard to get things arranged so we can make room to get the stairs done to make another level of the store as we need the room.

TWINS: The twins are back to school and Zacheus is playing EVW football so stay tuned for pictures.

MORE OF WHAT WE CAN DO WITH YOUR PHOTO'S (photo's by Miss Amy)

We can turn groups of photo's in 12x12 photo collages. These start at $10.00 each. You choose matte or glossy finish. We can do different layouts depending on the number of photo's. You can email photo's to ptdiva@ptdiva.com or drop them off at store on CD.

IDEA/TIP CREATE YOUR OWN SCRAPBOOK PAPER AT PRECIOUS TREASURES

When taking photo's think of things around that you would want as your scrapbook paper. For instance for the kids wedding I went the day before at the same time of day and took background shots and we can print them to 12x12 paper at the store. Remember they have to be full size files if you are emailing them to us to print for you or put them on CD's and drop off at the store. They are only $4.99 and are a high quality photograph.

Quick graduation, baby, wedding albums? Blow your photos up to 12x12 size for one side of a 12x12 layout and then make a scrapbook page for the other side.

Another hint, use background photos for cutting in your Cricut.
