IDEA/TIP PINCHING PENNIES WITH A PENNEY???

I loved these flowers with this layout but had nothing big enough to put in the middle of the flower. I put a square brad I had in the middle but it just did not look right. I looked around and seen some change laying on the table and "uh oh!" I had an idea! I glue dotted the punney to the brad and filled the penney in with stickles. I love how the copper edge shows and it completed my page. When scrapbooking try to think outside the box. The best investment you can make in scrapbooking is an acid testing pen. When you have one of those, who know what wil be in your scrapbooks next! :)

MISS VERONICA IS AWESOME

Shelly was cutting out owls and having a heck of a time and tried all kind of settings. So I took a picture with my phone and texted to Miss Veronica and got back "new blade". Shelly changed the blade and it cut just fine. :)

IDEA/TIP LAYOUTS WITH CRICUT

Veronica had Cricut classes at the store Friday night so I dug out my cricut, blew off the dust and gave it a shot. Veronica is so much help and such an inspiration as I am so challenged when it comes to electronics. I got 38 pages done in 2 daysusing the cricut. We have so many cartridges at the store you can use while you are using the crop room. We have 4 machines and you just need to bring your own mat or purchase on at the store.

My favorite! The Cricut cartridge is called a Childs Year and I am hooked on it. There is so much more on it than the package shows also.

Another Example of a cake made with the Cricut! (Using only the Storybook Cartridge)

8 and 10 inch stacked cake made for a church function last week. Decorating time took less then 1 hour, using only the Storybook cartridge. Bottom layer was white and top was chocolate. I covered mine in a homemade fondant (I teach a class on that too, lol) but you could use a cake covered in just any frosting as well. I used my gypsy and baby bug for the design/cutting.

I LOVE Art Institute glitter as there is nothing better! It never fades and sparkles like non other. They have large glass shard glitter, german glass glitter, super fine, even glow in the dark glitter!

This is their awesome glue that you can write or paint on fabric and then add glitter to add bling to clothing items. It washes up great! We carry it at Precious Treasures in Fremont.

SIGN UP NOW FOR CRICUT GYPSY AND DESIGN STUDIO CLASSES

Hello, Precious Treasures fans! This is Veronica Rosman, the Cricut instructor here at PT. I just wanted to let you know that I've posted my Cricut classes on http://www.ptdiva.com/, and I have decided to divide the Gypsy and Design Studio class into two seperate classes. The Gypsy class is next Friday night, 6/11 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Design Studio class is Sat., 6/19 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Also, I have a Beginning Cricut and an Advanced Cricut class this coming Friday night, 6/4. See the calendar for times and details.


So, if you took one of my early classes, then may remember me saying that I wasn't a big fan of the Design Studio. Well, I try hard to admit when I'm wrong, and I was totally wrong about the Design Studio. I have actually used it with my Cricut more lately than just my Cricut alone.


Why have I changed my mind? Well, several reasons. But the big one is the Hide Contour function. Basically, you can take a Cricut image and tell the software to tell the machine not to cut certain lines.


Here is a picture of a title thingy I made a week or two back using the Summer Vacation cartridge. I used the Design Studio to weld the suitcases together and then select only certain sections to cut one at a time so I could use certain papers for certain sections.


I'd love to show you how to do this and more with the Design Studio, and/or the Gypsy. Just sign up for one or both of the two new classes by calling the store at (402) 727-7706.
Also, if you have a Gypsy, I encourage you to visit the Cricut.com website. There is a new update for the Gypsy that gives you the same Hide Contour feature as Design Studio, plus you can now upload pictures onto your Gypsy so you can see the photos as you are cropping. Also, you can upload page sketches and layouts and take them to crops with you! Check it out! ~ Veronica

ON THE HUNT, HAVE ANY PRINTERS DRAWERS???

I have been on the hunt for about a year for an old printers tray cabinet. I finally found a man who had one in his garage and he was willing to sell it. It is now at Precious Treasures but it needs THIRTY more printers drawers to fill it. If you have any let me know or if you see them at garage sales etc. please pick them up for me. I want to use the cabinet for all the eyelets, brads, buttons, embellishments etc. that we sell individually.

I spent all day today cleaning all the drawers and they were like mud as it had been in this garage for many, many years. YUCK! Tomorrow Lindsay and Ruth are going to come help me sort out embellishments and I am going to touch the cabinet up with some stain. I am so excited about it as our individual items are so popular and we can now carry so many more.
