BACK TO WORLD MARKET

I fill eggs for all my nieces and nephews for an Easter egg hunt. Well I was putting together my kids Easter Baskets last night and those little pom pom chicks were so CUTE! They would be adorable in some of the plastic Easter eggs and less sugar for them too! So back to World Market I went tonight and got there 10 minutes before they closed. Well... I found some more Easter candy too that I did not see the other day. Check out the big lady bug, isn't it adorable. The chocolate bunnies make up our whole family, mom, dad and 4 kids. :) Can you tell I like Easter. :)

The bunny and egg pasta is to make macaroni salad out of for Easter. Only $1.99 at World Market now. The Pom Pom chicks were on sale tonight for 25% off now also and were $2.24 a box. The bunnies, ladybug, and the other chocolates shown all came in one bag and were only $12.99. World Market has great prices.

My son Zacheus' easter basket shown below with the edible grass. (I tried it.....not the best tasting stuff. It reminded me of those little candy things we got as kids that looked like space ships but had the texture of foam. I can't remember what they were call.

LOVE COOKIES???

My friend Steph has a blog of all her baking and she posted a recipe for "World Peace" cookies and they are delicious. She bakes cookies for a living and they are DELICIOUS and BEAUTIFUL! I bet her house smells wonderful all the time of fresh baked cookies. How she stays so skinny I have no idea. I do not think her cookies have any calories. :) http://www.simplyliving.blogspot.com/

EDIBLE EASTER GRASS???

A friend called me yesterday and said she found EDIBLE easter grass at Sams Club. She picked me up a bag and it is really neat. There are 4 "nests" of the grass. It looks just like easter grass. I cannot wait until easter and grab a piece and eat it and see the look on the kids face. You know I have a weird sense of humor. hee hee It was cheap, $5.00 for the huge bag which would fill 4 medium sized easter baskets or crinkle up paper under it if you need to stretch it further. Below is a photo of the grass and also of the real eggs that are filled with chocolate I was telling you about that I got this year at World Market (Village Point).

EASTER LAYOUTS

I love to do color blocking when I have a lot of photos to get on a page. They are especially great for all those photos you take at our wonderful Henry Doorly Zoo. Bring in your photos and we have square dies to do easy color-blocking layouts. There is also a die that will take your 4x6 photos and make it a mosaic.


(below) This is a totally digital layout done with Digital Scrapbook Place software. They have come a long way with digital and make it look very 3-dimensional. I have one customer who does digital pages 4x6 and just has them printed. It is a very unique idea and they look wonderful!

VICKI WAS HERE!!!

Vicki graced us with her presence at the store today. She is so much fun!!! She shopped, took pictures of the puppies, check her blog as she will add them over the weekend www.vickichrisman.blogspot.com . She autographed some of her books while she was here so if you want an autographed one stop by soon.

*She said she is willing to teach classes for the National Scrapbook Weekend. I was thinking maybe we just have her teach three classes and it would be a flat $50.00 per person and the difference I could just pay out of the weekend retreat fee. If you did not want to stop cropping you could just get the kit. If you look at Vickis blog regularly do not think she just does vintage classes. She is good at everything! I have taken MANY of Vickis classes and I think my favories were the ME pages and the houses also all of her acrylic items.
