Wendell Dorsett is one of my favorite long time customer and he is an awesome scrapbooker. When he comes in each week he always shows me the coins he hand cuts into jewelry. I have asked him to make them to sell many times but he just makes them for gifts. I asked him if I could buy one as I would love to have one of Oklahoma as I love the bird on the quarter. Well, he showed up this morning with a gift for me. I LOVE IT!!!!! I already added a jump ring and a chain and wore it all day with a huge smile. Wendell and his wife Norma are the sweetest couple you could ever meet. Love them both dearly!!!! Thanks Wendell!
I have slacked on my blogging this week as it is already Thursday. This week has gone fast! I have been still sorting through back room stuff and getting REALLY close to having it all done. I have been bringing loads from storage to the store that are from our other two past stores and have found lots of goodies. 
I got these Superga swarovski crystal shoes when I was in Chicago and just found them in my closet this morning. I forgot about them. The photo's do not do them justice as they are genuine swaroski and they SPARKLE! (so me) lol Definately should not have wore them to work today as I have not broke them in. ouch!
Speaking of shoes, I made this ring display out of an old shoe today. I would have done black velvet fabric but could not find it in town so I just did black cotton. I think we should do these for one of our Thursdays kids class projects for a christmas gift for mom.

I have been trying to organize stuff from the basement in the back room since I cannot do the stairs with my knee. Today I got ALL my bins of flowers organized as I keep ordering colors I already have. It is so nice to have them all in one place. I love these 12x12 drawers from Target.
The guys have been bugging me to make more stuff for them. These cuff bracelets will be out tomorrow as they need one more day to dry. I already have 7 spoken for . They came out really cool. Also got in bottle cap earrings. Both are under $10 and we do ship. 
Today I had to close to go get my kids from school and I figured it would take about 15 minutes, and it took about 30 as they did not come right out. I got back to a nasty note from a customer saying it took more than 15 minutes and next time they will go to Archivers. Well my response to that I am sorry but I will ALWAYS put my kids before my job. I am a single mom just trying to survive this economy and if I could afford to hire someone today to be there when I had to get them, I would, but that is not the case. Tara or Remington are usually there but there are some days I have to get them.

I had to be at the hospital for an MRI are 6:30 this morning and stopped at both Scooters and Starbucks in Fremont after 6am and neither was open. How is that possible? Morning must start later in Fremont than it does in Omaha? LOL
I did not get a lot done at work today as I was running on "E". I played with some bracelets and still trying to get the designs perfected and also we got in a ton of the bottle cap rings so we should be stocked for quite awhile. We had a customer in today that was thrilled with being able to make her own buttons and thought it was so much fun. Stop by anytime as all of our staff is trained to make buttons. 
We got the rings all stocked up again. We do sell wholesale if you want to carry them in your store, salon or boutique. We can do custom button inserts which are great for Christmas gifts, showing off the children at sports events. We have thousands upon thousands of buttons as well as bowls of button designs for you or your children to come in and make your own. It is a lot of fun!!!
Today was the first time Tara worked with me on a Saturday. She got stressed but made it through the day. She ended up staying for the crop tonight and did some stamping. We were busy all day which was great as we really need the sales. Thank You!
I got a lot of pages done tonight too which I was thrilled with. I got all my Chicago pictures picked up at Costco and I have about three albums worth of photos from one trip. LOL
Zacheus was at a boy scout camp out this weekend and I was up all night worrying about him last night as it was such a terrible storm. His scout leader brought them back a day early as there is suppose to be another bad storm coming. I am just so thankful he is home safe and sound. I never understand the camping thing. My idea of camping is a hotel without room service. LOL
KIDS!!! Tara found two rubber gloves full of water in the freezer, frozen solid. hmmmm....Ruth OR Zacheus??? I caught them another day using them for water balloons.
This is such a cool technique and you could even use it on old jewelry. I am going to do a class on it. Look for embossed jewelry coming in October.

I went to Dr. Fischer in Fremont today for a second opinion on my knee as my Omaha doctor said I needed it replaced. Well Dr. Fischer may be sweet and easy on the eyes (my sister and mom were right) he did not say what I wanted to hear. LOL I go in for another MRI Monday at 6:30 am on it. I have been hoping to inch it along until Liz was done with college as I would have the time and money as they say I will be down at least a couple months and if you know me, being down a couple days I need a straight jacket for.
He was laughing at me as I was making fun of the paper shorts. They need some color and bling! I facebooked them at my appointment. I should have taken them with me and redid them. I am going to sneak a pair next appointment. LOL
Any of our buttons can be made into brads. I can create them out of any paper or photo. It makes layouts looks fabulously coordinated.
