I have heard that a Chick-fil-a is coming to the Omaha area. There is one inside Mutual of Omaha but you have to work there to go. But the rumor is one is opening on 24th and I-80 in Council Bluffs. hmmmmm...... hope it is true!!! :)

TIP / IDEA Decorating your scrapbook totes and bags

I never like plain black bags and need to show my individuality. We sell an awesome glue called gem-tac that holds gens and other embellishments on fabric. You can use fabric paint, acrylic paints, use your cropadile and punch holes and add eyelets and weave ribbons through. The possibilities are endless. I took a class at CHA about 10 years ago on embellishing bags and I have been doing it ever since.

CROPPING CRAZY`

We cropped until 12:30 last night and had so much fun and laughed so much my cheeks hurt! We are having a 3 day crop July 9-11th at the store and there are several hotels in Fremont to stay the weekend. Sign up is now open.

TWISTED WIRE JEWELRY

The lady who was doing the twisted wire rings has decided she did not want to do them for the store any more so we have to find someone else to make them as they are so popular. Chad and Tara have been making some and they are getting the swing of it. I like how they make them out of the smaller sterling silver wire as not everyone likes the big rings (I LOVE them!) I cannot wait to see what they come up with the bigger silver wire. We should be able to take orders again by August 1 when we get all the birthstones in stock, until then it is limited to stock on hand.

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY

We live close to the river and the water finally got us. We were up late last night sucking water up out of the basement. Not a fun night and I layed in bed and listened to the rain all night thinking it is just going to all be in the basement this morning. I cannot even imagine how the people who have FEET of water in their basements are handling it. I think we all need to start building an ark. :)

My own College World Series

Yesterday was my son Zacheus' baseball tournament and he had to be there at 7:15 am on a Saturday! (what were they thinking??) LOL He played so well and hit two home runs in the first game and they won 12-1. He then had to play a game at noon and he hit two more home runs!!!! They won that game 17-5! I am so proud of him as he has been afraid to hit the ball all season and been kind of bummed about baseball. This is his first year playing. Trev told him yesterday to just hit at every ball that comes to him this time and he amazed all of his team and the parents. They were all cheering for him and he was smiling ear to ear.

I have the pink expressions and had to pinkify my baby bug. One of the cricut cartridges has a cricut on it so I cut it out of sign vinyl.

CRICUT CAKE CLASS

I was shocked when Jessica showed us how to use our regular Cricut to decorate cakes. It is so funny as her mom is the inventor of the Cricut Cake Machine, but shares that you do not need the Cricut Cake Machine and with some adjustments you can use your regular machine! I loved the class and her recipe for gum paste is the best ever as we have tried the Cricut and Wilton gum paste and they do not work as well. I am hoping she will teach another one as you do not want to miss this awesome class.

VODKA INFUSED GUMMY BEARS...

My mom's dog Missy is such a cutie. Mom brought her into the store to show off her sunglasses. Funny but this dog REALLY uses them and likes them on. What a hoot!

IDEA/TIP PINCHING PENNIES WITH A PENNEY???

I loved these flowers with this layout but had nothing big enough to put in the middle of the flower. I put a square brad I had in the middle but it just did not look right. I looked around and seen some change laying on the table and "uh oh!" I had an idea! I glue dotted the punney to the brad and filled the penney in with stickles. I love how the copper edge shows and it completed my page. When scrapbooking try to think outside the box. The best investment you can make in scrapbooking is an acid testing pen. When you have one of those, who know what wil be in your scrapbooks next! :)

MISS VERONICA IS AWESOME

Shelly was cutting out owls and having a heck of a time and tried all kind of settings. So I took a picture with my phone and texted to Miss Veronica and got back "new blade". Shelly changed the blade and it cut just fine. :)

IDEA/TIP LAYOUTS WITH CRICUT

Veronica had Cricut classes at the store Friday night so I dug out my cricut, blew off the dust and gave it a shot. Veronica is so much help and such an inspiration as I am so challenged when it comes to electronics. I got 38 pages done in 2 daysusing the cricut. We have so many cartridges at the store you can use while you are using the crop room. We have 4 machines and you just need to bring your own mat or purchase on at the store.

My favorite! The Cricut cartridge is called a Childs Year and I am hooked on it. There is so much more on it than the package shows also.
