PHOTO CANDLE TO MAKE

Create a Photo Candle
To create the example here, follow these steps:

1. In a photo-editing program, rotate the picture horizontally.

2. Use a transparency made for ink jet printers (Precious Treasures has them) Print the photo onto the transparency, making sure that you print onto the rough side.

3. Allow a few minutes for the ink to dry, then trim the photo. Add a layer of NON-FLAMMABLE adhesive to the rough side of the photo (I used a Xyron 500), and adhere to the candle holder. (You can find fun, inexpensive options at dollar stores, Target or thrift stores. Thicker glass is more heat resistant.)

4. Embellish the photo with rub-ons.

Another tip
When she placed the votive candle at the bottom of her holder, the wick burned in the middle of her daughter’s face image (“not attractive!”). I got around this by placing glass beads under the candle. Or, consider image placement when choosing how tall a candle to use.
