LUTHERAN FAMILY SERVICES ONGOING FUNDRAISER NEWS

We have customers with the bigges hearts. We have been collecing scrapbook supplies for several months for moms at Lutheran Family services to be able to have the ability to scrapbook their families. This has been such a great way to share our love of scrapbooking with moms who may not be able to have he opportunity to scrapbook. Vicki Chrisman has graciously volunteered to teach the classes. She will do so for a period of one year and we will continue to collect supplies for them through that time. One lady (Kathy Harman) was nice enough to donate Beauty Control products that Vicki could use for prizes during class. It is such a rewarding cause.

If you have any unwanted supplies please drop hem off at Precious Treasures and mark them "Lutheran Family Services". We will give you a receipt in case you want the tax deduction. The moms are thrilled with whatever supplies they get. So even those half used sticker sheets etc are such a blessing. If you have any unused paper trimmers, adhesives, scissors, corner rounders, eyelet setters etc. those are good as not so many of them would have to share. I am sending another box to Fremont tomorrow as my mom is coming to Omaha to bring Ruth home.

Amy.. here are some photo's from last nights class at 'Building Families Boutique' Sorry the photos are not better, but confidentiality is important so not many straight on shots..Please tell everyone who as helped out with this cause through you and Precious Treasures... Thank you from the bottom of my heart! These young moms enjoy every minute of this time together,.. it's an hour and a half of 'grown up time', (with volunteer grandmas on site to help with child care) to get to socialized , and create pages that preserve their family memories. It just so much more than making a scrapbook page one night a month.. it's young moms, all working towards the same goals , coming together to get to know each other and work together as a support system for each other. The donations of the scrapbook supplies you collect make this night possible! THANKS SO MUCH to everyone to helps out!
